The Mendi 9s returns to Townsville in 2026, bringing another huge weekend of rugby league, entertainment and community celebration to Brothers Leagues Club.

From 2–4 October 2026, teams from across the region and beyond will compete for a $50,000* prize pool in one of North Queensland’s premier rugby league carnival experiences.

Following the success of the updated format in 2025, the tournament will again feature three divisions in 2026 - Men’s Cup, Men’s Shield and Women’s Cup.

Team spots are limited, with Expressions of Interest opening Friday 6th February. Teams are encouraged to register early to secure their place in the 2026 carnival.
